In Salford, and across the country, there are hundreds of thousands of leaseholders and tenants stuck in unsafe, unsellable buildings.

The Government must ensure that flammable cladding, and all other fire safety risks associated with buildings of all heights are covered by the BSF. Provide all the money needed upfront and ensure remediation costs are not passed on to leaseholders and tenants.

The government must realise that leaseholders cannot, and should not cover the exorbitant costs of repairing buildings they bought in good faith, with existing fire safety failings from when they were developed.

The Govt must accept the 10 recommendations of the #EndOurCladdingScandal campaign, support Labour’s motion and make these buildings safe.
